MDF vs. Wire
MDF closets require three separate visits
to the job site by two different sub-contractors.
§ First the finish
carpenter must either order or procure the product for the job.
§ Then they must set up equipment at the job site then custom cut and install the components. This must be done before
paint and after texture (a very small window)
§ This
is also the only this facet of the job that the finish carpenter can do as it is to early for any other trim work.
§
The Painting sub contractor must then prime and paint the
product.
§
The finish carpenter then must return to install closet rod
and hardware.
§
This is also the time when the finish carpenter has a full
plate with trim, doors, cabinets etc.
All of which requires coordination and communication with more opportunity for error.
The Closets ETC wire system is designed for
quick installation with a minimum of inconvenience.
