Since the introduction of the laminate closets systems in the mid 80s this has become the closet of choice.

What is it? Laminate systems consist of a very high density particle board with all visible surfaces covered with tough laminate compound.  It offers virtually unlimited design options and storage solutions.

How is it installed?
There are two basic types of systems.  Which one you choose will dictate the installation method.

a. Floor mount -

As the name indicates this method sits on the floor and is attached to to the wall for stability.  This method is recommended for pantry use or where walls are not sturdy enough - such as a wall with a pocket door behind it.

b. Wall mount -

The preferred method for most uses.  The units "float" above the floor approximately 6 inches.  This allows for storage under the system, easy cleaning, and future flooring replacement.  The system is held to wall by a patented method of attachment.

Were is it used? This product will work in any room in the house.

What sizes are available? Standard shelf depth is 14 inches  - from there -  there countless options.

What kind of options? In addition to standard hanging fixtures for clothing there are many storage options, listed below are just a few.

  • Drawers of several widths and depths.
  • Hutches with drawers and shelves.
  • Shoe shelves.
  • Adjustable shelving for jeans and folded items.
  • Triple height clothing  systems with pull downs for tall ceilings and extra storage.
  • Valet rods, belt and tie racks that slide out of view when not in use.
  • Baskets and hampers.
  • Islands with storage.
  • Doors.
  • Jewelry drawer inserts.

What does it cost?  With every job requiring different components it is impossible to provide costs here.  If you are just trying to get a ballpark idea click on the "GETTING STARTED" page and follow the instructions located there.

Can I purchased the product and install it myself? Unlike the wire shelving this product is totally different then the laminate sold at home improvement stores.  Our's is thicker, heavier and requires special tools - therefore it is not a do it yourself product.  Also, most homeowners lack the tools to make a custom fit.

How long does it take to install? For a walk-in master it usually takes about five hours.  This, however, varies greatly depending the size, fixtures, and amount of custom work required.  We will gladly give you a time estimate when your design is finalized.

Is this truly a custom installation? Yes, there are standard component sizes but rooms are rarely sized as such.  This requires on site building of components for a true custom fit.  If you have received a quote that shows gaps in components, odd spaces, etc., this is not a custom closet.

How big of mess does it make?  None!  Any modifications are done in an enclosed trailer and all refuse is removed by us.  We even vacuum the floor where we have been working!  (Sorry - whole house cleaning is not available

If I am building a new home when should I call?  This best time is while you are still in the planning stages.  We can offer tips during the design phase that may improve your closet layout and avoid mistakes that limit future design options.

What if we are nearly done? No problem - we can still work up a great design.  Keep in mind that the best time to install is after the carpet and before final touch up and cleaning.  For some colors there can be as much as three week lead time to get product so the earlier the notice the better.

What about my exsisting closet system? (See below)

A word of warning!
Some builders do not include sufficient allowances in their bid/budgets for adequate closets.  They sometimes plan on minimal closet design.  This then becomes a cost overrun for the owner.

Be sure get the allowance amount from your builder before you sign the contract.
